it keeps on telling me that i need a mic to play vocalist but i dont wanna play vocalist, i wanna play drums and the mic is un pluuged and i have the drum plugged in for the main. PLEASE HELP

First of all you need to say which console you have.
If it's PS3, did you assign the controller to the right port? If your wireless controller thinks it's in the #1 port (even if it's not) the drums won't work.
First, turn off your wireless controllers (by using the PS button) and disconnect the drums USB cable and reconnect it onto the #1 port.
Reset your game back to the main start menu and then go in and try to play.
If that doesn't work, turn everything off and restart it and make sure that only the drums are on and plugged in.
If that doesn't help, I'm not sure what else to do. You can call PlayStation Customer support (I believe the phone number is in the game case).

I don't have the game but I would just search the menu's until you get to the right point you should be able to select just one instument
