I feel I have to answer this as I am a scientist and I also believe in God. This is an observation by theologians (primarily religionist fundamentalists) who deplore the facts uncovered by empirical science which cast doubt and unbelief on their dogma. They do not or choose not to understand hard cold evidence which disagrees with their or the Bible's view of the world instead of making an effort to accommodate that evidence into their theology. They are basically afraid of change. They are so enraptured by their interpretation of the Bible that believe it is inerrant so Science must be wrong.

It also might be true for those scientists who are so enthralled by their knowledge of the universe that they are blinded to those truths that are in the Bible and some theologies. They say that if their is error in one aspect of the Bible then they can not believe any of it. They are blinded by their own success.

The fault with both sides is in not being objective about observing the universe as they were as a "rug-rat" first setting out to explore their new world driven by a God given instinctual curiosity about and love of life.

Good luck in preserving your vision, good mental health, peace and Love!

Studies have proven that more than 90% of people who die in car wrecks ate bread less than 7 days before the accident.

Let's sue all the breadmakers!

(Using science and/or statistics to cloud an issue that otherwise is straightforward)
