I doubt that the Pakistanis would welcome US intervention now that Ms Bhutto has been murdered any more than they would have last week, which would make it a pretty foolish plot.
It would have required intelligence contacts with islamist radicals (or someone else who would voluntarily wade into a campaign rally wearing a bomb) of which we have precious few. It could've been a "wahhabi wannabe" or some other patsy, I suppose, but the likelihood that anyone in the US could have orchestrated such an event is extremely low.
Could it have been planned by supporters of Musharraf or Nawaz Sharif of the Pakistani Muslim League (the third major candidate in the election whose reentry into Pakistan Musharraf tried hard to prevent)? Far more likely in my estimation. Either of these guys has far more access to pakistani fringe elements than we have.

If you've thought of this don't you think someone else might have too? Say, someone in each country's intelligence apparatus? And if so, wouldn't it be just a little obvious to everyone involved if the US tried to use this as an excuse to enter Pakistani airspace and drop bombs in the mountains? Honestly, don't you think the US would have preferred having Benazir Bhutto alive as Pakistan's Prime Minister rather than just another assassinated ally?

Bin Laden died at Tora Bora. If you say this is not true then show him to us and not those fake videos with the guy that had the really bad make up job.

Stupid plan....US bombing would create more problems than it could solve.....So you might be right, if it's counter productive we usually do it.
