I like 60-80s music. Other than classic rock I like music in the Pop-New Wave section.

I love Blues and a bit of Jazz.
Older country (Johnny Cash, Hank Williams...none of the stuff that's currently country!!)
Pop music from the 90s and the 80s(even the worst stuff then is better than the best pop on the radios today)

Not counting all the subgenres of rock, right?
Blues. A favorite of mine. My father was a huge blues fan, and would constantly play things like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and it just kind-of transferred over to me.
Also, old 60's and 70's soul and girl groups. Like Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, The Raelettes.

I don't like everything in every genre of music, and there are things in every genre that I do like, from "The Makado" in opera to Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" in classical to early rap songs like the Tom Tom Club's "Wordy Rappinghood" or Blondie's "Rapture."
My favorite genre is country (by that I mean OLD country, the stuff playing when Jake and Elwood walk into the bar in that scene in "The Blues Brothers" where you hear that classic line, "Oh, we've got both kinds [of music], we've got country AND western!"). Bluegrass is also near the top of my list.
In rock, I like punk (original punk, thank you, the Clash/Ramones/Iggy era), adult alternative, and oldies. I even like some pop music (the older pop, the Platters, Neil Sedaka, Frank Sinatra type of pop, not the M*ch*el B*lt*n stuff).

Hip-hop and rap. [not from past 96' though, now the whole genre is tragic]
And Jazz, it puts me in a good mood.
Oh and video game music, kind of odd but it always seems so energized and epic.
