i got my nitendo ds second hand so to speak so it didnt come with everything.

Well everybody else is right but there is a way to get the DS to charge by itself sort of and that's by purchasing a solar charger which are available. Then the DS can be charged anywhere basically on its own.

yes at gamestop you can buy one for under 10$ new and probably $8 or less for a used one, plus if you have an edge card it gets 10% of used stuff... good luck, you shouldn't have any problem find one at gamestop, call the local one and ask...
