Is it just the good looks and charm that get people going, the fact that he has been elevated to celebrity status by Oprah? Has anyone else researched how he voted as a Senator from Illinois?
Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. backs.
He sponsored S.CON.RES.53: A concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress that any effort to impose photo identification requirements for voting should be rejected.
In 1999 he was the only Illinois State Senator to vote against a bill barring early release for (criminal) sex offenders.
He voted against filtering pornography on school and library computers and he voted for sex education for kindergarten children through the 5th grade.
Also, in 2001, he voted “present” on a bill to keep pornographic book and video stores and strip clubs from setting up within 1,000 feet of schools and churches.
Just as unsettling is his voting record on abortion.
Twice, Obama voted against bills prohibiting tax funding of abortions.
In February 2004, his wife, Michelle, sent out a fundraising letter, which actually stated her concern over the rise of conservatism in the Country, and that the ‘so-called’ partial-birth abortion was a legitimate medical procedure that should be protected.

He is also pro-illegal immigration. He voted while serving in Illinois to give them SS benefits even tho they had never paid into the system. He co-sponsered an amendment to the Amnesty bill that said employers did not have to check legal status of their employees only new ones. He voted for the Dream Act to allow children of illegals to become legal and get help attending college. How does this help low and middle class Americans that he says he wants to help improve their life?

I agree with him that very young children should receive sex education. This does not mean we're teaching them how to have sex--instead he wants to teach them about what is appropriate and what is not (especially involving molestation/abuse from parents, siblings, etc.) He made sure to specify that he only supports "age-appropriate" sex ed for young children.
Partial-birth abortion is a legitimate medical concern. Basically the only reason people abort late-term fetuses is because there is a very serious health risk to the mother or the baby that was not previously known--and the child would most likely die right after the birth.
And regarding sex offenders: He cosponsored Dru's Law, which creates a nationwide sex offender database and requires greater monitoring of sex offenders upon their release from prison. He also cosponsored the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. This bill increases the penalties for sex crimes against children under the age of 12 and creates a national Internet site known as the National Sex Offender Public Registry.

I like Obama but am not sure I will be voting for him. I know I pick him over Hillary. He is the only one close enough to her to maybe beat her. I don't agree on abortion especially partial birth. The sex offender for early release could be an eighteen year old dating a sixteen year old. We just don't know. I agree on the photo ID requirement. I need more information regarding the porn shops and sex education. Maybe he just believes in freedom of choice.

I don't think any of this is unsettling.
Many bills are complicated and there are many reasons to vote against them even when they are at least partially well-meaning. There are often hidden loopholes. There are often unrelated items packaged together in bills.
Anyone with any type of congressional record will have similar problems.
I agree with him on the photo ID, sex education to 5th graders, pornographic book store, and abortion issues. If you want to prevent abortions you NEED to educate the kids!

As long as people are researching their candidates, they should be able to vote, even for people like Obama, who should NOT hold the presidential office in my opinion. But I must ask, WHY, in such a non-race-related question, is there already an answer above mine concerning a supporter's non-black, non-male self (Sophia)?? Why, as ALWAYS, is race a factor? It should not matter that he is black! But again, this issue has been brought up. Ridiculous.

Certain bills have riders attached to them, that may have been his reason to vote against or vote present on some of the bills you listed.
To answer your question, I suspect many of them don't.. For the most part they will respond with "He's a good man" or "He's for change" These are emotional & subjective responses that have no basis on actual facts.
Senator Obama's record is confliticing to say the least. According the NY Times, he missed 70% of Senate votes & the votes he actually bothered to show up for were marked present.. His sixth and seventh important acts as a senator were to vote for a bill that made it nearly impossible for ordinary people to sue giant corporations who rob & defraud. He voted for President Bush's energy bill, sending more than $13 billion in subsidies and tax breaks to oil, coal, and nuclear companies. He voted to allow credit card companies to raise interest rates over 30 percent. He spoke out against the Patriot Act, only to vote in favor of reauthorizing it, he cannot commit to have all troops out of Iraq by 2013, supported Bush's sanctions against Iran and co-sponsored a bill designating the Iranian National Guard a terrorists organization, he implied he'd invade Pakistan, he favors amnesty for illegal immigrants, he is for entitlement programs that will increase the deficit leaving the burden on taxpayers and accepts contributions from influential lobbyists, corporations & special interest groups, while claiming he's the "anti-establishment" candidate.
If more people were aware of this information, I'm almost certain he wouldn't be leading in the polls.

Obama's Senate record is a DISGRACE ! Obama MISSED 70 % of the Senate Votes ( probably because he was NEGLECTING his Senatorial Duties ( the SAME way Hillary has ) in order to campaign for President )

You copied and pasted this material from web sites that are clearly anti Obama democrat. Why would I take their word, or yours, regarding Obamas record? You haven't presented any facts, merely spin based on half truths.

You can't make people not vote for Obama based on that. I do my own research ( on non-biased sites) and I know why I am voting for Obama. You just vote for who you like!
