Most students would be jealous & bully the "teacher's pet", or the mom might choose the youngest child as the favorite & spoil him/her, so the older kids might get jealous & bully him/her.

When it comes to twins, I think they should be treated equally, but my twin sister tries VERY hard to fit in with the crowd to be accepted in society, but I just be myself. People think I'm jealous of her because they treat her better than me. I don't consider myself jealous since I feel that favoritism is wrong.

I see all the time how people are friends with cops & get away with crimes, or a high school cheerleader might get away with skipping school, SIMPLY for being a cheerleader.

I think favoritism does cause jealousy, however, when I was in school, I always got treated differently because I was not from a wealthy family and also because my parents did not go to the same school. I was an athlete and played basketball, volleyball, and ran track, but unlike almost everyone else on my team, I was picked on because I was an "outsider". I never got jealous though, I felt sorry for them. When those folks that get things handed to them go up and get into the real world, they will find out that life isn't as easy as they thought it was, but you will know how to survive. There is no reason to be jealous, because you will have much more common sense than they will.
