He said on the "Today" programme that shows such as X factor give the wrong message to the impressionable and gullible, that celebrity is for all, is easily attained and is good. Anyone agree?

TRUTH? Typical Chelsea knuckle dragger, intellectually and emotionally deficient and uses incoherent abuse and insults in place of argument.

I don't agree that celebrity is good. It's gotten to the point that being famous is a life goal, and that's very bad. It's ultimately un-satisfying and leads to self destructive behaviors. You can't bring up healthy children or support yourself financially when the fame subsides.

Ask most of the wannabe babies what they prefer to be, their answer isn't 'singer/musician/actor/artist' etc its 'time-honored' or a 'action picture star'. i think of it rather is the element Albarn and others like him are attempting to make. Many X ingredient contestants are actually not as attracted to their song as they're in being time-honored. i understand of a few rather good musicians/singers in my community area who could beat the likes of Leon and comparable distinction palms down the place skills is in touch, yet who will in all probability no longer enter X ingredient with the aid of fact it may compromise their musical abilities for the sake of commercialism.

I hate celebrities, most of them are untalented wastes of space who get in the papers just because of who they are sleeping with.

good idea, lets have people with real talent on our screens, people who have worked hard to get their fame/fortune. lets all start to ignore retards who fall out of clubs with no knickers on then tell us how to raise our kids.
