My New Year's Eve dress is short, sequined, sleeveless and black. It will be only 15 degrees or so here, otherwise I would not wear anything on my legs! My shoes are black patent leather heels... I absolutely hate pantyhose so would rather wear tights, but which do you think is the better look?

Sheer black seamed hose!
Bare legs are going out of style.
Try a pair of Wolfords, they are the best!

When wearing a dress and black heels there is only one answer...Pantyhose. Tights look horrible with a dress and heels. Get yourself a nice pair of black or almost black sheer pantyhose to go with your outfit and you will look great!

That sounds like a nice dressy dress so you will want to wear pantyhose. Tights are good for casual wear but that's it really. Go with the pantyhose which looks sexier anyway.

Depends on the age of the crowd. In a young crowd go for the tights, but for and older group wear the pantyhose

I would say the tights but try both on and see if you like the tights or the pantyhose

Do NOT wear tights w/ tha dress! Pantyhose is much more acceptable. Trust me, I live in Michigan, the tights won't keep you that much warmer anyways. Just a tip: careful of those sequins, they tend to snag hose.

Don't wear pantyhose. Sorry, but only geeks wear them IMO - I haven't seen pretty girl in pantyhose in ages. They are passé.
Go bare, but if you must wear black opaque tights (and maybe take them off once you're indoors)

Black tights or even colored tights would be very cute. Very chic!!!! That look is all over the fasion world. If you do wear panyhose, wear black, nude looks like your trying too hard to be sexy....

can you wear tights untill you get there, then take them off for the right look? Should be warm inside!
the 80s is coming back so the tights may not look so bad.. personally Id wear tights! then removed once warm!

Sheer black panythose. Tights would be too much for the dress you describe.
