I'm regretting even that... since I probably have food poisoning from last nights dinner.

I used to be a waitress so I am more sensitive to the matter than some. But I do demand alot from the wait staff also. If you can't remember what I ordered to drink you probably should get a new job. I encourage you to seek other opportunities by tipping you less. You need a good short term memory, dexterity and a nice smile to win me over. I tip very well when you are attentive, kind, and efficient. I tip 20-30% for good service. If you forget things, ignore me or make insincere and lame excuses that are just lies then you get a dollar or perhaps none. This is my way of saying, move on. Maybe you should work in a warehouse, finish school, go back to school, or something where you don't have to deal with people. That's my tip!

As long as the service is not pathetic, I usually tip 20 percent, plus I round it UP to the next higher dollar. If the service isn't great, I still tend to give 15 percent. I know they are getting most of their income from tips, and take into consideration that the wait person might just be having a bad day; We have all had them.

For excellent service 25-30%. If you can afford to eat at a high end restaurant, you can afford to tip generously. People don't realize that the servers live on their tips.

Generally, I tip 20%, unless the service is not so good - then I might only tip 10%.

Depends on the restaurant, cost of the meal and the service received. Generally 20% but if the service is bad, 10%.

I dont go by the 20% Rule no one tells me how to spend my money. Im a single mom on a tight budget and when I do go out to eat its a splurge so I typically do 5 dollars.

I usually tip maybe over 10% of the total, but when I'm with others they seem to thing that I am giving to much. Or maybe I am just surrounded by cheap people, lol!

20% is standard.
If the service is really good, I have tipped the same as the bill.
