LOL.....hilarious. I've read many reports stating that the CFL is in deep financial trouble. Other reports even that the NFL is considering buying the CFL out and expanding the NFL into Canada. Why do you think more US college players do not go to the CFL now? The CFL does not have anywhere near the dollars that the NFL does. It is about money and the NFL has tons more of it. The CFL can have Vick, he was a washout as a NFL player, let him be a washout as a CFL player.

No, and the CFL doesn't try. They fill their own niche nicely. Look at the USFL, WFL, XFL... they all failed against the NFL. The CFL and AFL have done pretty good because they don't directly compete with the NFL- they play on days/seasons/time slots that aren't the same as NFL games, so we, the rabid football fan, can get as much of the sport (in whatever fashion) we can get.

You have to remember that the CFL is not the NFLand never will be. The game is different, different set of rules and a different field. American players only go there to get a shot at making the NFL or returning to the NFL. No player would ever pick the CFL over the NFL.

You're funny....
The CFL would love to compete with the NFL if it had the fan base, money, and players to do so...
I think NFL players are quite content with their contracts in the NFL, especially since CFL players make very, very average salaries (average as in... like I probably make as much if not more than 50% of them).

Are you on crack? The NFL would DESTROY the CFL in head to head competition! Have you actually seen what the average CFL player makes versus the average NFL player?

Didn't the xfl go out of a business in one year?
I think you mean the afl. Which almost beat the nfl before being bought out by them in 1969.
But to answer your question
No.

Even if your crazy hair-brained scheme worked, I still wouldn't watch it. Canadians will never let go of hockey, it will always be their sport. Michael Vick will not be making a comeback. He'd better start a new kennel if he wants to stay out of the welfare line.
