Then it's time for the little tyke to receive a large dose of cold, hard reality... No bumpers for him!!!
And don't stop talking trash until the little darling is sobbing into his tiny rented shoes.

I would let him bowl twice without the bumpers then after he misses both times I would explain to him that it is much harder in real life then let him have the bumpers. My 7 year old does that on the wii then we go bowling and she cries that she doesn't understand why she can do it at home but not at the alley. So show him the difference but don't totally crush him.

Most certainly! I have taken my 3 year old daughter bowling. Just give them a light ball and put up the bumpers. She sits at the end of the lane and (with a little help from yours truly), gives it a push down the lane. I need a handicap to bowl with her :).

In that case... NO bumper pads!
I have a 5 year old daughter... and she probably could whip my butt in wii bowling.

If he did not trash talk then yes... But since he thinks he can always win I would say no. There are no gutter gaurds in Wii bowling. But if he loses to bad I would play a second game with the gutter gaurds.

Do you mean the bumpers that they put up for kids so that they're balls won't go in the gutter? Yea I would get that for a 5 yr old. And so what he talks smack, he's gonna lose eventually and then he'll learn to be humble.

Don't put up the bumpers. He'll learn how to bowl better if there is no crutch. Besides, kids have to learn that they will lose from time to time and getting some gutter balls will teach him that.

Ompelle is right, it would be a shameful loss... I mean, when's the last time you went 'real' bowling anyway? I'd get the bumpers.

I hate bowling just get the pads and sit in the bar and drink beer, sometimes there are eligible men in bowling alleys. By eligible I mean wifey is at home.

Just have fun with the little tyke.
