No not really...I think it's weird to care so much...all these people with thousands of points..it doesn't mean anything!

I've always said, that the points don't mean anything other than when you get enough you can ask and answer pretty much limitless.
But I find I really don't have that much to ask or...answer either for that matter.
But, no, it isn't weird at all. In fact, those of us who have been around for a while, are more concerned with getting clobbered with "Chat Busters" than how many points we got.

Points are nothing but a mere show of how long and active you've been on Answers! and how many priveleges you have. They're nothing to brag about, and nothing to care for (despite the people who sometimes creater alternate accounts to give themselves best answers).
So yes, not caring is normal and a good thing.

i only cared until i got to Level 4, and the "Unlimited" answers. After that, it was just a score lol

No, I don't think it's weird. The points don't mean anything anyways. It's not like you can cash them in for prizes.
