Yes. i don't have any experience withXBox, but my PS3 does that. I know their is a DVD you can buy that you put in your DVD player, and it cleans out all the dust. I don't know if XBoxes can hold DVDs or not, but you can try that. If that doesn't work, you can always blow inside the XBox or find some other way of getting out all the dust.

honestly your best bet would be to get a laser disc cleaner run it and do not facume it my best freind tryed that and he touched the motherbord and now its completely ruined but if that doesnt work take it to a local pc place and they will rid it of all the dust for about 10 bucks

the dust could be contributing... is it a 360? and how long ago did you purchase it? but it could also be the disk drive, microsoft just started making a new disc drive that wont malfunction. as soon as you tell me when you purchased it and where at, i can give you more help information...

Yes! Had the same problem. Get a can of air, you can buy them at Wal-Mart or any computer store, and blow the inside clean. Good luck

not sure could be try vaccuming it out with the attachment piece that goes on a vaccum good luck hope this helps-call game stop and ask them(buy a disk to clean the lens maybe)
