Because he thinks Huckabee will lose in a presidential election. Limbaugh is only about the Republican Party; he does not care who is president as long as he is a Republican. He cares more for the party than the nation... IF Huck gets the nomination than Limbaugh will pretend that he never said anything negative against Huckabee. He does this all the time.

Limbaugh is an old time Capitalist Republican.
The Capitalist Republicans have been paying lip service to the Christian Bible thumpers for years, using them to win elections. Limbaugh sees in Huckabee a Bible thumper who could actually take over the party. Christianity is not always compatible with free-market capitalism.
Blowback!

I think because of one of Huckabee's catch phrases: "We need to be concerned about the Republicans on Main Street, not just the Republicans on Wall Street"

Or his policies of high taxes. Huckabee is not conservative, he's arguable less so than Bill Clinton, who at least enacted welfare reform which was sorely needed.

Because he has been described as a compassionate conservative. What in the heck is that? I don't know is one of those terms they invent so they don't look like hypocrites.

Mike is for more taxes, for more illegal immigration, soft on crime. That is his record. His campaign tries to draw attention away from it. They even purport on his website to be against illegal immigration but that is just simply not reflected at all by anything he did as governor. As governor he encouraged it.
