During my 40 year career in admin of justice I frequently played the stupid/ignorant part to get people to open up and talk to me....people just loved to get you to try and understand their point of view.
Many times such conversations lead to confessions then onto prosecutions.
As the old saying goes.....'Stupid is as stupid does'...

Yes of course. It can be amazing what you get out of someone by acting a little dim occasionally.
Not totally stupid, but just a little naieve is often enough to show you are not a threat to someone and then when the time is right, you can rise up and crush them underfoot for the dogs they are!!!!Boooohaaaaahhahahahahaha

YES lol! I do it in math class, so we could waste time and end up not finishing the lesson, therefore no homework! All I do is raise my hand up, say "I don't get it" and give her a blank and confused face. She explains and I go like "Wait you lost me on the______ part" and when she explains again, I ask her to another example from the book. LOL but I can't do it too often or she'll figure it out :P I also do it to annoy my sister.

Only to telemarketers I love to keep them on the phone for quarter of an hour thinking they're gonna make a huge sale to some slightly dotty senior citizen. Then I say, "I'm very interested but I have to think it over more. Give me your home phone and I'll call you at dinner tomorrow." I laugh evilly and hang up on the useless t*rd!

I don't have to pretend. I'm so technical and intelligent, the simplest things often escape me.

Not exactly. I've let someone continue to treat me like I'm very stupid while they explained stuff to me that I already knew. Coz I could tell they'd take it wrong if I said "I know."
