Is this George W. Bush's legacy?
Muslims now distrust us so much that they automatically assume the United States had a hand in Bhutto's assasination? Is this George W. Bush's legacy?

And, remember, that Bhutto was Pro-West, and the quote below was from her followers. You would think Bhutto's followers would be Pro-West, and even THEY don't trust the United States.

"Shame on the killer Musharraf, shame on the killer U.S." mourners cried, as her [Bhutto's] husband, Asif Ali Zardari, accompanied the closed coffin draped with the green, red and black tricolor of Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party on the funeral procession to the mausoleum in the village of Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.

Yes. That is Bush's legacy, among other things. I don't like Bush, but he's still the president that WE elected. What does that say about us?

Pretty much. What's even worse is that, correct or not, people in the Muslim world have every reason to be suspicious of Bush on this.

There's really not much question tha tMusharaf is behind Bhutto's murder. His regime is known to be sympathetic to al-Qaida and he doesn't fight them--the only thing Musharaf has done is prevent the US from sending our armed forces after the terrorists in Pakistan.

So--given the circumstances--and given that Bush supports Musharaf, who definately is complicit in the assassination of Bhutto, what do you expect people in the Muslim world to think?

Too bad they can't read. Perhaps ,Clinton shouldn't have allowed Musharraf to come to power in 1999.

"The United States, which relies on Pakistan as an ally against al Qaeda and the Taliban in neighboring Afghanistan, had championed the Harvard- and Oxford-educated Bhutto, seeing in her the best hope of a return to democracy. "

Why do anti-Bush folk always believe the media articles that attack the United States and Bush but never believe the media articles that congratulate the United States and Bush in this world?

It seems to me that if anything goes wrong in this world then we blame the United States and if anything goes right then we stay silent on the matter.

No his legacy will be remembered at liberating two countries.
Stopping terrorist attacks on American Soil
Great economy and that tax cuts do work.

His only failure that I can see is that he did not focus on deporting the illegals out of my country, he took the side of the democrats. That is his only failure in my opinion.
