Yes, a friend and I went to Japan for a vacation some years back. We had planned our tour and times. Being that we only had a certain amount of money we could only afford to stick to the plan. Once we got there things changed, concerts and new high-tech toys caught her attention and I found myself having to consider lending her money to afford all the luxuries she came accross. We ended up eating at a McD almost daily because she didn't like the way the sushi tasted on the first day, in the first restaurant we saw. I was upset and didn't enjoy my trip and ended up butting heads with her.. she on the other hand was upset at me for not wanting to just do other things instead of what we planned... I don't know, but I do have a problem when I'm being forced to enjoy or do things where someone else is the only one that benefits.

Yes. My best freind and I went to Cancun Mexico when we were 21 and she wanted to go alittle wilder than myself . I was dating someone that I was head over heels for and just went for different reasons. Long story but by the time we got back she told everyone that I was "boring" on the trip. We did not talk for a few needed years ( we've been freinds since we were 9 but today still are best pals ! Maybe now we would be able to go.

Well, my hubby and I just came back from traveling over the holidays and we had a little argument over me putting my hairspray in his carry-on luggage. It was a last minute thing as we were rushing out the door. My luggage was full, so I put it in his. It never occurred to me that airport security would confiscate it. As we were going through security and his carry-on bag was being x-rayed, they asked him what the can was. He said he didn't know and, at that point, I then realized what it was and said "it's your Aqua Net hairspray". Well, it wasn't funny at the time and he was not very happy that I did that, but we kissed and made up later. Life's too short to make enemies with your best friend!

Edit: Thanks Daisymae, it's good to be back!

No. I must have wonderful friends!!! I took a month long road trip and week long cruise with my sister-in-law's mother once and came back great friends. I have been on ten cruises with my best friend and three road trips with her and two other friends. We are closer than ever. We have a trip together coming up next Oct.

LOL in a way. When my ex and I travelled he would read EVERY sign in view which was irritating. If I wanted to stop at an antique shop he would zip on by as he would the rest stops.
His vocabulary was nothing but negativism on any subject that I dared to start a conversation on.
I have been sooo glad to get home on many occasions:)

My best friend and I drove from Indiana to Colorado to see my best friend during high school. I think the two of them were kind of jealous of each other sice they had never met before. And, the friend I took with me would not be agreeable about anything that we decided to do.It made the trip home in the car an uneasy one!

Well, not enemies but it definately cooled the friendship. I think it might have had something to do with riding a motor cycle in sleet that did it.

I have done it the opposite way,
I travelled with a colleague, we were just
friendly, but we came back close friends and have
stayed that way for many years.

Yea, maybe not enemys but we kinda took a step away from each other.

My best bud and myself went to Florida on a school trip in high school and my mom was a chaperone, so I figured I had to behave, and I did, but she wasn't to go out after curfew and she called me lame and got all mad at me. Dumb stuff but I was hurt.
