She usually wakes up to nurse once during the night. Last night, and off and on this past month, she woke up 7 times. I nursed her once as usually, let her cry it out three times (took about 15 min.), and gave her the binky the rest. I had her swaddled so that isn't the issue, although she did nap a little longer yesterday. Any ideas or tips to get her back to sleeping better. I don't think I can do another one of those nights.

Maybe it's a growth spurt. They need to be fed more often at that point.

She is probably going through a growth spurt thus she probably needed fed more than once. Why are you letting her cry it out anyhow, don't just assume she is full because she usually only eats once a night, that means nothing in fact babies are constantly changing, don't schedule her and expect her to stick to it. Let her nurse, it will help and she will be satisfied longer.
Oh and she probably napped longer because she is growing, let her sleep, and feed her when she wakes up at night.

My 9 month old does the same. Some babies just dont sleep good. SHe may be going through a growth spurt, and need to eat more. THere could be lots of reasons. If you can, rest during the day, or in the evening, and let someone else take care of her for a few minutes. Good Luck!

When my baby girl was 8wks old i decided to introduce bedtime. I would allow her to sleep whenever she wanted throughout the day until about 4pm then i'd keep her awake by playing with her etc... Then id give her a bath EVERY night at about 7pm then off to bed at 8 and she'd sleep right thro... Now shes 8mths old and still goes to bed every night at 8pm the only difference now is that i don't have to bathe her EVERY night.... She did however wake in the middle of the night crying recently for 3 nights in a row, i don't know why and i don't know what was wrong but the last week shes back to normal now sleeping right thro so i'd say maybe ur baby is sick, having pain, high temp etc... Try Re-Introducing a new bedtime routine similar to mine and see if it works...

Don't give up things will get better! I know ur stressed and tired but just keep in mind that shes not doing this out of badness!

Sadly, you did all you can do. Sometimes kids just have a rough night. My son is a really good sleeper, he's been sleeping through the night since he was 6 weeks, but I think he's getting sick and last night he woke up 3 times. So keep up the good work and enjoy the nights she does sleep most of the night.

My 3 1/2 month old was waking up every two hours recently; I took him to the doctor for his 4 month old well check up and she said that he is ready for cereal. She told me to start feeding him a little bit of cereal before he goes down for the night. Last night we did that and he slept from 8pm-5am. IT WAS GREAT!

She may be starting to teeth and be uncomfortable, to hot or to cold. She could have had a gas bubble or starting a growth spurt where she does want to nurse more. Be patient with her. She will get back on her schedule. The more upset you get the more upset she will get.

She could be fighting some kind of infection. Is she running a low grade temp? My son doesn't sleep well when he a little under the weather.

She either wasn't tired after that long nap, or she wanted more to eat. When are you planning to wean her off the breast? The main thing she just wasn't tired, and wanted to be with you. You'll be fine.
