What is persuasion? Do you think "persuasion" play an important
role in understanding the news event?(more examples is better!)thx a lot

Persuasion is a form of social influence. It is the process of guiding people toward the adoption of an idea, attitude, or action by rational and symbolic (though not always logical) means. It is strategy of problem-solving relying on "appeals" rather than force.

six "weapons of influence":

* Liking: people like those who like them or themselves
* Reciprocity: people repay in kind
* Social proof: people follow the lead of similar others
* Consistency: people align with their clear commitments
* Authority: people defer to experts
* Scarcity: people want more of what they can have less of

I always find that doing my own research is quite rewarding. I mean, have you seen some of the babes at the library and book stores? Whoo-hoo!!!

persuasion is when you try to get someone to agree with your opinion weather it is righ or wrong it definitly plays a big part in the media

persuasion------------the act or process of persuading/ opinion, belief
persuade someone to do something/ persuade them to your side of thinking
