I posted a difficult cricket riddle in questions under sports=>cricket. I gave the right answers, & then put the question for voting. The wrong answers received 8,7,6,4,2,1,1,1,1,1 votes, while the right answers received 5,5 votes. this was inspite of me giving right answer. why?

I'm so sorry, yes this kind of a thing happens to many people.
It's because those people who posted the WRONG answer didn't care that it was wrong: they just wanted the 10 points for best answer. So what they did was make a whole bunch of Yahoo! Answers accounts and voted for themselves as best answer.
It's a shame, I know. Be happy you are not one of those unfair people.
