no it isn't worth it, but in NE's case, with all the records they might break, they will WANT to make history. And seeing as NE has such a stable o line, i doubt brady is in for much serious trouble.
By the way i agree on the 85' bears comment.

There is always risk involved. I am a patriots fan and I have thought about this one. Anything could happen. Eli could get hurt. So could Brady, or anyone else for that matter. I want to see a good old fashioned game on saturday. Even though both teams have wrapped up the playoffs, the Patriots are trying to do something that is unprecedented in terms of 16-0 and I am sure the Giants dont want to go into the playoffs with a loss for their final game against the Patriots. Both teams are playing for something and there is risk, but it is worth it for both sides. Its going to be a great game.

While the '85 Bears were far better than the '06 Bears, the '72 Dolphins got their record with their 2nd string QB under center for a significant part of the season. Starting QB Bob Griese(Brian's Dad) had a broken leg mid-season.
Now as to the Patriots of this season,(or any team in any season) that is all part of the game. Any player on the field can get hurt on any play. If you are out there you know that. As FANS we don't want to see "our guy(s)" get hurt, BUT it can happen at any time. Ultimately, it's the HC's decision. Personally, I think these guys are getting paid a SH!T-load of money to play a GAME. They better be out there giving all they can (when healthy,AND within the RULES) to win that particular game, week in, week out. ALWAYS play to win with good sportsmanship in your heart.( I hate the trash-talking, cheap-shot takers)
PLAY HARD !!!

It seems such as you're touching on the Packers because of the fact the 13-3 group and the Pats needless to say because of the fact the sixteen-0 group. To be honest neither sounds like the 'suitable' season. If the Pats do no longer win the whole bowl it wont be seen a 'suitable' season. And 13-3 and a great bowl win isn't probable seen a 'suitable' season because of the fact that that happens each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. although, i'm specific any group would take a 13-3 season and a great bowl win over a sixteen-0 season and a great bowl loss.

Brady will have to play some. What are they going to do sit down for two weeks?I saw no reason for Favre being in the Chicago game last week after the Bears were handing the Packers a good a** whipping Favre was still out there at the end.I think you will see Brady out there until the games in hand. The 16-0 is important to these players.

The record has nothing to do with it in my eyes. They already have a bye next week. If you sit your players week 17 they'll have three full weeks without playing. I think we've already seen that can make a team very rusty('05 Colts). Injuries are a part of the game. They happen. The starters should play every week.

No but 16-0, the TD record for Moss and Brady, a chance to set the NFL single season scoring record I would say is enough. Plus, if all that happens, you will never hear the end of it, Brady will be crowned the greatest of all time.

It's not every day your team has an opportunity to go 16-0 and finish perfect in the regular season...
Any team would shoot for the record given this opportunity.

The Pats are here to prove a point. The Giants have a good pass rush, so even if Brady gets hit, he is going to have a bye week in the playoffs to recover.

Hell yes. Look at the 72 dolphins, those guys have been recognized for so many years while most superbowl teams are forgotten in 1 year. This is bigger than the superbowl
