Both sides, kids, the name calling and hate is just getting worse. Does anyone really think that by calling someone on the other side of the aisle names will convince them to vote your way? Because, honestly, isn't that what it's about? Convincing others to vote like you do so your man/woman wins? Hate and name calling just energizes the base of the other side and makes them MORE likely to vote against you. It's about numbers. Does anyone see that the name calling reinforces everything the other side thinks about you? Or is it just me?

Shut up, doody head! I kid, I kid. It's because ppl don't really have a leg to stand on in an argument. Others get sick and tired of the same small-minded trolls asking ignorant questions just to stir up trouble.

It's funny how people think that name calling, bashing, etc. will advance their agenda somehow. For example, "Bush is an idiot" - is that supposed to be insightful information that will change the minds of others? Or, "Liberals are communists", "Republicans are facists", and so on - what do people hope to accomplish by posting that stuff? Sheesh - can't we all just get along? Lighten up everybody!

The rhetoric has dialed up a notch. I think it depends on the time of day. Also, many people are off during the holidays which explains the new avatars I see lately.

Everybody dose this at election time around here. It's really the only fun they get out of politics, We are living in very dangerous times. and I think we all know that .I am Guilty ,I Like to get my Little cracks in also but I try to do it in fun. But with all the political correctness going around, some of us really resent, others thinking we are to stupid to think for ourselves, So they decide what best for us.
it makes me see red sometimes, and I let my ugly show. So I will say ,I am sorry to all forgive me ! and I will try hard to keep my ugly to myself.

You are correct, and I agree with your 100%. But why bother it is exactly what make things more colorful around here. Let those immature people do it and just have a big laugh out of it.

You make a great point. It is certainly counterproductive. I suppose that some people enjoy antagonizing others in relative anonymity. Fortunately, there are still a handfull of us on here that are actually interested in discussing policy and solutions.

Well there are a lot of people on here who get a kick out of "upsetting" people on Yahoo Answers. It's a little immature but what can you do? This is the web.

Any one who questions the strategic value of blatant avoidance of discussing issues by resorting to name calling is stupid.
