tiberium and kryponite?

has anyone else noticed the similarity between tiberium and kryponite

Actually I have, it's green and it glows and there's certainly no Kryptonians around so it must have killed them all. Gotta be kryptonite...

Actually...no...but now that you mention it...The physical appearance looks similar.

But not the Blue Tiberium...and how tiberium grows. It almost seems as if Tiberium is organic. Living and infecting other organic organisms for it to expand.

whereas...Kryptonite is a mineral
