Very enlightening. The message gets lost in the digital effects, the excitement, the panoramic view of New York as a ghost town, (the city that never sleeps) and of course Will Smith. But don't overlook the possibility of science causing such an outbreak that so subtly could bring devastation upon 2/3 of the world population. And if you were in a major city like New York, Los Angeles, D.C. or Atlanta, where would you go? What would you do? IS your family top priority to emergency evacuation? (Yes, some people have clearance for such a time event) Oh, this movie speaks volumes and it's entertaining. Enjoy it for both.

It was pretty lame. They really don't explain enough of anything, there are WAY too many plot holes, and the CGI is probably some of the worst I have seen for a movie with that big of a budget.

The only saving grace is Will Smith.

At best I'd say it was mildly entertaining. I'd give it a 4 or 5 out of 10.

The movie was absolutely terrible. This probably has "THE WORST" use of CGI in a movie ever, even worse than the starwars prequels. There was absolutely no reason for the creature effects to be digital. You could have accomplished the same thing with makeup and prosthetics. Very, very bad! It really makes me mad especially because I loved the book and have really been looking forward to this movie.

It was all right. I could have stayed at home on my sofa and napped off my Christmas dinner and been just as happy.

Will Smith is a great actor and is quite the piece of eye candy in the movie, but beyond that it's just okay. Would I see it again? No. Not even for free.

I thought that it was a very well done movie. it had everything, excitment humor, s\some sad parts to. There was some scary mutant things. those were frightning but once you got used to what they looked like then you got to really enjoy the movie.
