Im sitting in my office with my winter coat, a hooded sweatshirt, T-shirt, jeans, shorts, 2 prs of socks, and a small space heater and I'm STILL freezing. I keep thinking of that guy that worked for Scrooge and just wanted some coal to make a fire!

Should I ask the boss to turn up the heat?

Its like 5 degrees outside and maybe 30 inside because one of our rocket scientists here decided, since there's only 2 people in this part of the building, we dont need so much heat over here - its more cost effective my left butt cheek!!!

How do I ask them to turn up the heat? Do you think starting a small camp fire in a coffee can in my office would be a good indication that its COLD in here????

Ask if you can forward your calls and work from a part of the building that is worthy of heat.

Lol, the bon fire sounds fun, just don't set off the sprinklers or else you'll be an ice sculpture, and I'm pretty sure you don't want that...

I'd probably ask to turn the heat up and if they don't, take some sick days if they're paid... but I wouldn't think they could get away with making you work like that if it's that bad....

Goodluck and think of the Sun and warm sandy Beaches ^_^

Your boss probably wont turn the heating up.
Central heating or gas costs money which he isnt going to waste on keeping staff warm.

Ask if you can have one of those electrical heaters, they keep people warm all the time.

Get a coffee machine and make regular trips to get a warm steamy coffee.

Just set fire to a corner of the office, when its warm enough semi extinguish the fire so it is still smoldering
and that way you can keep warm.
When the boss fires you move immediately to Florida.

Make you own source of heat. Start a fire with your office supplies.

just go ask them to turn it up a couple degrees and its actually more cost effective to leave it set at a specific temperature. Turning the heat up and down creates higher heater costs because your furnace runs longer when you turn it back up. So go rub that in his face!!!!

That'd be a good idea, or you could get comfy with the other person in you're part of the building that is unless its a 67 year old woman!!

Tell them that they are unfit working conditions and they need to turn up the heat or let you go home with pay.

It's hard to be productive if you are frozen.

buy a small space heater, bring it to work, and run their electric bill up and keep yourself toasty warm. It's like I always say, whenever you can, STICK IT TO THE MAN!
