Its such a difficult question, i dont like liars because you dont know where you stand with them, however i understand why you may lie about trival matters to spare feelings. etc etc so i suppose you may think me a hypocrite, its so difficult, i suppose then it depends on the importance of the situation. I asked a question sometime ago, what would the world be like if everyone told the truth? at first i thought it would be a good thing, then i thought about it, would it really think about all the situations where it would cause distress or harm.

It depends on the situation and/or the person. I can easily lie to my Mom, I don't really like her. But if I tried lying to my boyfriend or one of my friends I probably couldn't, or I'd feel guilty and eventually feel like I have to tell them.
But if it's like keeping a secret for a friend or just a surprise or something I guess I can tell a white lie. For example, I have a gift hiding in my room and I'm hiding it from -whoever- and they ask what I'm doing in my room, and they ask to go in my room and I say "no" and they ask why, I'll just make up some phony excuse why. OR if I'm sat in my parents room then I notice a gift for me on accident, I won't tell them I saw it and I'll act surprised on my birthday/Christmas.
Also, if my friend asks if they look okay or something in an outfit they love but I don't like, sometimes I can say "I don't like that outfit" but other times I tell them I think it's cute, etc. even when I really don't.
I don't know, those are just examples. Probably not every good ones, but I think you can catch onto what I'm saying.
But I really can't lie for the most part out of shame or guilt so either I tell the truth, or if I do happen to lie, it will eventually come out soon after.
All in all, lying is wrong, even if it's a white lie *should cut back on those*. Sometimes a white lie is a prevention from being mean, but if someone really wants the truth, then tell them. The truth can hurt but it's something we all have to live with. Lies can build up over time (even white lies) and eventually people will learn not to trust you.
Hope this helps.

Almost always I tell the truth, there are times though that I have said a little white lie, but before I do, I make sure by thinking things through, that nobody or nothing will be in any danger or in harm of any kind. Sometimes we have to "stretch" the truth just a little bit for a benificial situation. Thanks for askin! Take care! You ROCK!!

I usually tell the truth. The only time I lie is if I'm trying to skive off work for something. I only do it a couple of times a year though.

In most cases I say the truth... there is no reason to lie about something.
If I'm keeping a surprise or a gift, then yes I lie :)

Let's just say I tell white lies when necessary. I mostly tell the truth in most cases but there comes a time when white lies are more appropriate....
