I have cramping once in a while to and I am 12 weeks. Sometimes my cramping was so bad I wanted to cry. I asked my doctor and she asked me if it was "tummy cramping" or "pelvic cramping". For me it was more tummy cramping so she suggested that I might be constipated. I needed to drink lots of water and eat foods with fiber in them to help "clean" me out. But if the cramping continued I should come in and see the doctor. And if you are cramping enough that is concerns you, you really should discuss it with your doctor. You can even just call them and see what they suggest. Good luck!

umm nothing towards your mom, but you do need to goto the er to make sure there is nothing wrong with the baby. Because what if there is something wrong and you never went to the er until it was too late... Think of how much stress that would be. Just look after your baby, a nurse would not tell you to go if it wasn't necessary..

Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids but i would follow the advice of the nurse and go to the ER.

Cramping during pregnancy is normal and expected. It'd be like period cramping.

Pain that doubles you over and immobilizes you is NOT okay. Niether are painful contractions that dont stop when you lay down.

Cramps are totally normal.

Cramps with spotting are normal.

Cramps with bleeding like you're having a period are NOT normal.

You're fine.
