Some people prefer to measure their options more than consider the outcomes. The askers may well be working on their listening skills so as to develop their ability to advise others. Some people have a lack of decision making skills and seek others for guidance.. not that its wrong.. because in the long run, everyone likes to give their opinion.

P.S: Who is Wally or Walley?

My ratio is over 1000 : 1. I have answered 7589 or 7590 with this answer. During that time I have asked 5 questions.

Now where would this site be if there wasn't someone to balance my practice of answering at that high a rate? I'll tell you; it wouldn't be the place it is. In fact, it would be so boring I would go somewhere else and do something else.

In short, it is an operational site only because we have that balance.

I guess the ones asking are too busy asking to have time to answer, and the ones answering are too busy answering to ask. I know that I personally go through all the Q&A and read both the Q & A's and answer the ones I want and read everybody else's answers, so in the end I do not have any time left to ask any Q's.

good point. I have only asked a few questions because that is the one's I needed answers to and I do answer many in areas that I am familiar with the issue.

Many people ask so much because they are too lazy to do their own research. Others answer more because they research for their own info as well as for those who are asking. It takes all kinds and without the askers where would those of us who prefer to answer be.

I've never noticed that, but I think some people are more comfortable asking, some like me, would rather answer. I admire people who can think of questions to ask, I wish I were more like that. I'm grateful to them, so that I have questions to answer. It balances things out.---Luvs

Hmm? I am not aware of that, but I guess they just like to ask questions. They probably don't have a lot of points from doing that either.

I try and answer questions even if I don't have a real answer, A lot of times I answer with a joke just to break up the answers.

I never made that kind of detailed observation before. I just go with the flow here.

I'm glad the askers ask because I ask very few questions. We answerers would have no questions to answer if the askers did not ask. :)
