Currently I am more appald by mothers who abortion their babies and stem cell research which requires the developement and termination of babies. Both in which is depriving a baby of life even if the baby isnt considered a lifeform at early stages its still depriving the possbility of life the baby would of had if things preceded. That comes to your question. The topics are very similiar I think. Im suprize everyone says yes when abortion is legal. Anyways In a perfect black and white system I would say yes. With todays system I would say she should be put into jail until she is able to stay clean for a year or More then be let free. Babies who are born from druged mothers have a hard life and there should be something legal of consequence.

H*ll to the yeah! She chose that life, but the baby didn't have a chance so she should serve a pennance for the mistake of that choice. Why didn't she wait til she had the baby before tending to her crack-self again? These people bother me a whole lot. And then you hear politicians cry roe vs wade, where women are attempting to be responsible for a choice; so when they abort, these politicians are freaking out. Its a mess too with adoption. When a woman gives up her baby, she goes through lots of emotional setbacks and is ostrisized
from society for not taking care of her child.

In my opinion, we don't need to support a crack mom for life. Put the baby in a foster home, take the mom to jail, long enough to clean her up, then to counseling and job and parent training.

You know what? this is the first question you asked that was not racist. It is a very good question indeed. Yes, maybe she should go to jail. If she chooses to have the baby ,which should be her choice, Then she should have to take care of it even before it is born.

If it is her choice to keep it, then shouldn't she realize she needs treatment at least till the baby is born. If she wants to keep doing drugs, she she should not keep it.

I agree, treatment before jail, But we are talking about someone who chose to keep the baby and then destroy it because they did not want to get treatment knowing it would harm the life they chose to keep.

this is a moot point, I am fairly certain that if you are pregnant and drunk, high, etc. its already considered child endangerment.
Should she go to jail for life? No, because doing crack is a personal choice. She should have her tubes tied and her child put into foster care though.
As for the person who put her there (abuse), it doesn't matter what causes you to derail in life, you still make your choices and you must live with the consequences. This has no bearing in my opinion.

The drug epidemic in the USA has not, and will not, be solved by imprisoning the drug users.
The prisons are overflowing, and drug use has continued increasing.
The most effective solution is proven to be through treatment, rehabilitation and to provide opportunity and jobs to disadvantaged neighborhoods. When the cost of living rises at 10% per year, we should expect to see a rise in deperate, disillusioned people.
Of course a baby should be removed from it's mothers custody until she has shown she is no longer drug dependant, ignoring her will destroy both the life of her and her baby.

depends on how she ruins the baby life.she should be locked up for using crack and the baby should be put in a foster home.but i'm assuming ur still talking about blacks getting abortions.

She shouldn.t be allowed to ruin the baby's life - the baby should be taken away and put up for fostering and/or adoption.
