what's happening with the kill bill: whole bloody affair dvd release?

they have a box art picture on amazon, is it actually meant to be coming out or not? if so, what's holding it back? legal rights to release?

...the release of "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair", originally scheduled for a November 2007 release, was reportedly postponed until about mid-January 2008, hopefully to make the already appealing package, even better (...though I suspect that the delay might be the lack of foresight, with regards to release it on Blue-Ray and/or HD-DVD, since it had not been advertised to be released in these formats)...
