I have a cousin - very distant cousin - in Ruritania. I recently
visited that country, and met him, and we were stricken at how similar we looked - the same long sharp noses, red hair... Shave me, and we are undistinguishable!
Then, it happened so that my cousin... well, fell ill and he had to be in a very important function. If he didn't go, he'd be done! So, I volunteered to help him. I shaved, and attended the function with his two old friends. I pretended to be him, and no one noticed (it was his first time to appear on public). There I met his fiancee - well, a woman who everybody thought would marry him in time, as their families were close - and fell in love with her... and she - with me!
What should I do now? She thinks I am he! And everybody else, too!

if I tell her my cousin will be in trouble for skipping that public function. It was very important to his career.

I fear that you must bow out gracefully and return to London and your eggspoon and your uncomprehending brother and sister-in-law, but at least you have a friend who will keep you apprised of events in Ruritania.

Marriage is the main extreme decision in existence. in case you're specific that your counsin's fiancee is in love with you, you need to communicate mutually to return to a decision what to do. If he marries your cousin out of criminal accountability, yet has deep and genuine emotions for you, then that marriage isn't a chuffed one, nor will it final. this is his flow...his decision to make. If he desires to be with you, then he ought to ruin the engagement to your cousin and not marry her. it may no longer artwork out between the two considered one of you interior the long-term, yet he shouldn't marry a woman he would not rather love. extra useful to be sure formerly they get married and function little ones and then get divorced. the certainty is often appropriate no remember what.

Um, if you're being serious, then you should really tell her the truth. You can't be your distant cousin forever, if you look back, you have a life. A life that doesn't iclude the girl. If you really do love her, honesty is probably the first thing you wanna keep in mind. Trust me, it helps.

If you're kidding, um... Sounds like a good movie?

Good luck anyway :)

Isn't Ruritania the subject of some book written about a century ago? Did you also take this story from that book?

How do you know it's you she fell in love with and not him? I guess if she continues with the engagement you will know. If not run get her. Don't still her away from your family though. Did she not notice the difference in your personality and voice?
