Indeed they do! People who have a fear of rainstorms or thunderstorms are said to have ombrophobia, from the two Greek words Ombros, meaning rainstorm or thunderstorm and Phobia, meaning fear of. I would suggest headphones and some beautiful Chopin or Mozart with the window shades closed during such storms. Whenever they see these cumulonimbus clouds growing their fear begins to develop.

Fear Of Clouds

Yes. My earliest memories are of being afraid to look in puddles and see the reflection of clouds in them.
As an adult living in the outback, I can t go for a walk into the paddocks or bush if there is a chance I will be caught in a storm or if the clouds are building up. Just looking at certain clouds or some pictures of clouds can make me feel afraid. However I can still enjoy the beauty of some clouds, especially if they have unique formations and when inside or somewhere I feel safe. I can watch the different pictures that form in clouds. I enjoy a good storm from the safety of the house, watching the displays of lightning and listening to the thunder but never ask me to go outside during a storm. I am happy to know that this is a real condition. Thank you for enlightening me.

After a tornado came through, my 7 year old would get extremely agitated and nervous any time a line of dark clouds came through. We cured that problem in a unique way. The next time a big storm came through, his younger brother and I went out in the yard, bent over and bared our butts to the storm, kind of like Braveheart.
