People who work in professions where transmitting disease is a big issue often wash their hands a lot. But the clean towel every time could get to be a nuisance. She should use paper towels then.
But it is also true that Orthodox Jews wash their hands a lot, because there are several activities where washing hands before or after (or both) is ritual purification. That would not explain the antibacterial soap, however: nothing particularly kosher about that!

Rofl. I saw Nerdy's answer. LmAo.
Washing one's hands isn't necessarily a bad thing. I wash my hands a lot during the day; but that's because it's a matter of hygiene and i don't like to spread germs lol.
There's normal hand washing and abnormal handwashing LOL. I've taken care of kids before, so i'm in Nerdy's corner on that one. Working with children you have to wash your hands A LOT!!! lol.
I would say, if she's washing her hands more often then several times a day, then it's a matter of hygiene, and okay BUT if she starts getting up at like 2am and repetitively washes them for 20 minutes straight and every hour on the hour....THEN it's the bad kind of problem ROFL.
..... *tee-hee* I'm still LmAo over her answer! (*whispers* but tell her the shirts were fine and to stop buggin' rofl)

I work in a medical office where people are coming in with colds and upper respiratory infections,so I do wash my hands very often. As your cousin is a nanny and little children often have colds and runny noses I can sort of understand why she does that.

Argh! i would be doing some thing, then i will randomly start up feeling that my palms are grimy or some thing, and that i can not function till i'm getting them washed. i will bypass wash my palms and positioned slightly sunshine lotion on afterwards... they sense all clean and delicate and mushy... large stuff. that's rather incredibly boy-esque, yet i began out using the lotion after my palms have been given dry to the element the place my knuckles could split. exceedingly unsightly.

Yeah, I'm like that: Every little thing that happens or that gets onto my hands, i have to go wash them. It's like an obsession or something, but I don't like things touching my hands!

Does this behavior interrupt her life? Are there any other behaviors she exhibits like that? It sounds as if she may have ocd. You may want to mention to either her or her parents to maybe seek some therapy/treatment.

There is a chick on answers that I sometimes talk to. She seems obsessed with washing her hands. I told her it was OCD and she denies it.
Well, what do you know, there she is, right above me.
