You've just reminded me about my families old hardware store from the 70's. We sold 8 Brillo pads in a bag for 25p. Two dozen wooden dolly pegs for 45p and also those long bars of green soap. I was in my teens but still remember most of the prices. I've never used a Brillo pad for years, didn't know you could still get 'em.

2 days ago. I have carbon steel knives that sometimes get left unwashed with gross stuff on them. Brillo cleans and helps bring out the natural "oils" of the metal to help rust protect. I also use Brillo (steel wool) on my aluminum pans to help keep them shiny.

Probably to clean the drip pans on my range. I do not like cleaning those darn drip pans! No more! I bought a glass top range.

I didn't even think that they still existed! I used to help my aunt cleaning in the kitchen. That must have been 20 years ago! Your daughters lucky to have you there when she needs you!

I don't touch 'em, but my Wife uses them
quite frequently. She keeps the used ones in
a small glass container under the sink.
(some times I might use one.)
