I am a man and I did the shopping with my wife and wrapped the presents, bore the brunt of the cost and bought her a diamond ring.
That makes me sound good.
YEY ME.

Since I'm an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree ... there is NO MAN that is around to either HELP with the Shopping or Wrapping ... so ... as down through the decades (even as a Long Term Single Parent) ...
It is just ME (through my Hard Work) that is able to AFFORD the Purchases that I MAKE for Christmas as well as WRAP those presents and put them under the Christmas Trees.

My husband won't have anything to do with it!
One year I was late writing cards and managed to cajole him into doing some envelopes - he was really miserable about it and said I was never to wish that on him again.
He won't come shopping for presents but he comes with the food shopping and pays the bill at the check out which he reckons is his contribution.
My Christmas present from him was an envelope with a note inside saying "I owe you a Christmas Present"!
He can out-Victor, Victor Meldrew any day!!

My hubby went shopping for the stocking stuffers and I had most of my shopping done by Thanksgiving. My boys made gifts and on the Sat. before Christmas my mom-in-law had the boys for the night and hubby and I had pizza ordered in and we both wrapped the presents.

My husband did! Not only that but he found Winne the Pooh Christmas paper because Pooh is my favorite. and he wrapped them all. We try to be equal partners in everything and I was very fortunate to find a man who does not feel "unmanly" by helping with any traditional "women's work"! If the truth came out he is a better chef than I am. Many people assume I made dishes he did. I always enjoy correcting them!
I hope you are as fortunate to find a man who is secure in his sexuality and does not feel that doing any traditional "Women's work" makes them look less manly (How stupid is that anyway!!! :) )!
Good Luck finding one unless you already have!

My Husband wrapped all the presents, I seem to have a issue with sellotape it always folds back on itself and I end up in a muddle. I did all the present buying tho.

Why do women make shopping, wrapping and everything else that has to do with Christmas seem so hard? If the y would just calm down and do it and whine and complain then it would go by much smoother and easier.
