Thanks to all that helped me with my previous question referring to my dishwasher that refused to clean items on the upper basket. After trying everything possible, I've found out that the problem is the upper arm, it wasn't moving.
My question is, all that is wrong is the plastic piece has split that holds the arm to the fixed funnel at the top of the maching.
As the machine is 2nd hand, I don't have any paperwork, all I know is the model Zanussi Aquasave DWS 949. Is it possible to get this part, do I have to order a new spray arm and will this part come with the arm?
I'm just hoping that someone might know before I start a wild goose chase looking for this.

You could try a 2 part epoxy to repair the split.
I would imagine that the part would come with the spray arm. I doubt you could purchase that part separately, but you could try to contact the manufacturer.

Mine did the same thing - get a hot knife and repair/weld the plastic piece together again. It'll last for a little while at least xxx
