Yes & no. Not in the usual girlie girl ways as I dress casual & comfortable always come 1st and I have found the clothes I prefer are not costly. I'm home most of the time anyway, but I am always clean cut. I don't wear much if any make-up, but I do use skin lotion which I tend to stick to one or two brands & then try others, but overall, it's not costly when ya know how to show;-) I'd say my biggest extravagance is groceries as I always buy organic & lots of healthy organic produce, fresh, frozen & canned as well as some organic junk food. lol It shouldn't even be a luxury to eat well, but sadly enough, it is. I hit the locally grown whenever possible via local farmer's markets, but some say or assume I am high maintenance only because they are not aware that it is cheaper in the long run to maintain good health than to pay for health care when you're sick, although it doesn't always work that way. Health insurance is expensive even if you get it from your job and then they charge outrageous co-payments on top of that and it adds up fast! So, I guess what I am trying to say is that to live a healthy lifestyle, it can get quite costly & if that makes me high maintenance, so be it. I usually don't buy things that are unnecessary unless I can find more than one use for it & I shop for collectables (We all need a hobby) on sale, at garage/estate sales, flea markets & online auctions. It makes my otherwise expensive hobby of collecting valuable art very affordable. I do my own hair & my nails so I save heaps there as well. I'd say for the most part, I'm very low maintenance, but only due to the thought & work involved in doing so, but it sure is worth it!:-)
