She says she's Danish every chance she gets. There have always been rumors that she's Hispanic. I think she could be part Danish and part Hispanic. She just doesn't look white to me. Her skin may look white, but it's a fallacy that Hispanics can't have white skin. Gloria Estefan is Puerto Rican, and has the features, but her skin is light. She's not white racially; she's got the mixed Latina blood. And like I said, I think CZJ could be part white which accounts for the complexion. Her features don't look European to me at all. She has that exotic beauty, like Salma Hayek, that typically white women don't have. She looks like she has some Chinese, maybe a few gens back. She looks a lot like Kristin Kruek, who is half Danish, half Chinese. I'm not saying CZJ isn't Danish, but there's more there. Hispanic women through the ages have lied and changed their names, like Rita Hayworth, because of racism. Also, CZJ smokes and still looks pretty good for her age - few whites can do that.

Somebody else: you can make anything up about your upbringing that your want. It doesn't make it true. I think that you're right, though - I confused Welsh with Danish. It's KK that is always saying she's Danish, and CZJ, Welsh. Also isn't "Zeta" Spanish?

Over 90% of Hispanics are of mixed blood - NOT white. What are YOU about arguing that she's white when you don't know? Meimee, ha, ha, yes she has Latina beauty - I swear I can see it.

Catherine Zeta Jones Ethnicity

As answerer above said Jones is a very common name in Wales. Zeta was actually her welsh grandmother's name. She is welsh through and through. She used to be on a TV series in the early 90s here in the UK (darling buds of may) before she made it big in Hollywood. She's always been known as welsh, this isn't a new thing. Why would she even invent this? She is not spanish/half black... she is a credit to the welsh race. ALSO as above said... she is Welsh with Irish heritage and both are known for their dark looks (dark eyes, hair etc)..

There are a lot of ignorant people on here.First of all the original inhabitants of Ireland Wales and Spain (Basque) are genetically identical. They are probably the same people as the berber of North Africa.Have you ever heard the term Black Irish it refers to the darker complexion of some people in Ireland and Wales. It is obvious that is the genetic stock she is from.I am also from these people.

Um she's Welsh. Did you get Denmark confused with Wales? I could see how you'd make that mistake...it's not like they're two different countries with different cultures or something....lol

you know, it is possible for someone to look like they come from a different culture , after all we're all human and our physical characteristics are going to overlap. Don't over think this OK?

don't worry, when I first saw her in the Mask of Zorro I thought she was latina as well. But then I accepted I was wrong.

What is the so called "Hispanic" race? there's no such thing. Salma Hayek is HALF-ARAB, her beauty is pure Middle-Eastern beauty. lol

When did she say she was Danish? Her father's Irish, her mother's Welsh and she was born in Wales. Makes her pretty Welsh to me.

Since when did it matter whether she's Hispanic, Danish or even Thai? You CANNOT say she looks hispanic based on her features (or even their name! what's stopping a Swedish family calling their child Raul?) - that is absolutely no judge at all. Bjork looks Japanese, but she's pure Icelandic. Scottish people sometimes have large noses, but that doesn't mean they're Jewish. Irish people sometimes have black curly hair, doesn't mean they're Greek.

Above all - who cares? If she WAS hispanic so what? Doesn't make her talent as an actress any different.

I've only ever seen her call herself Welsh. That's all she needs to talk about. She doesn't discuss her "race". I'm an American with Irish and German ancestors, and I don't feel the need to identify myself as "Irish", or "German". Maybe she has some ancestors of Hispanic origin, but she is Welsh. She doesn't owe it to everyone to list her entire pedigree. She's never been dishonest.
Why do you care? You're getting awful worked up about this.
