can i say that all the conventional diodes are said to be avalanche diodes?

conventional diodes are meant to operate when forward-biased. there is a voltage at which these diodes will break down and conduct when reverse-biased, but this usually burns up the diode rendering it useless. avalanche diodes were designed to operate when reverse-biased. they have a preset voltage at which they will break down and conduct. these diodes are useful for circuit protection because they shunt any harmful voltage spikes to ground.

Untrue. There are many types of diodes, including vacuum tubes.

A diode is a valve. Under certain conditions it allows current to pass in one direction but not the other.
