Most of my LTRs were broken off by the woman not by me.
Every woman I have dated had unrealistic expectations of the "honeymoon" lasting forever without them doing anything but being a constant damsel in distress.
They claim to want a reliable, stable, caring relationship then constantly grouse, complain, and change (force) a man into an unrealistic ideal.
When he turns out to be a human being doing his best and not perfect, they file away every little defect and let it fester until they leave him for the the next un-realistic fantasy man.

ok now im a woman, and ive had my experiences and by what your saying, sex for men is somewhat important. Every few days men need to release as the build up and be somewhat painful. Some dont want relationships as they are scared of disappointment and clingons, as well as a controlling relationship and dishonesty. If men have sex with the same woman and its enjoyable then it may lead to a relationship. Its like try before you buy, but trying to find the soul mate as well, i have been inthat situation and now ive been with my partner for 3 1/2 years. I was after sex for a while before i met him, as you get older it kind of clicks that its time to settle down and have a family and get married. It's different with everyone. All people have different opinions, but see where thats takes you cause life is a long one, have fun. hope this helps

I am one of the odd women that has a large sex drive and that has a lot to do with seeking sex over relationships. I have never convinced myself that the two were the same.
Most women are taught that sexual desire is the same as love and so they convince themselves they are in love every time they have intense sexual desire.
Men are taught sex is not the same as love. These are of course United States sexual mores only. Other cultures teach different lessons with different results.

Because women are stupid?
No I kid. :D
Why do some men seek relationships if they just want regular sex why not jsut go to a bar every night?
I dont think you are looking at everything.
Oh and women like sex, have more orgasms, and need more to be satisfied than men.

To be honest...I think it's because we are animals. All of us. We don't like to be live this, but we have instincts in us that are part of our genetic makeup.
As with most (there are some exceptions) of the animal kingdom. The male species is the provider and the protector. Men are competitive in nature and although men have emotion, the other more aggressive aspects of male nature overshadow the emotional or nurturing aspects.
Women obviously need to be more nurturing and caring to raise the young and as a result they will generally seek out strong masculine men or men they believe will best serve their family (nesting) needs. (someone who will stay).
Whether you believe in God or just nature, this is common throughout the animal kingdom. Most male animals are simply needed to mate, to protect the herd or group, and to provide food. Most female animals raise and care for the young.
As much as we fight it, I think it's sometimes in our genes.

Men tend to have a higher sex drive, however i disagree that men arn't looking for relationships i have found it extremely difficult to find a girl wanting just more than sex. I have now found her, but needle in the hay stack!. overall i think in todays generation it's the same. girls and guys use eachother and occasionaly you get a nice one looking for a relationship. I'll probably get thumbs down with people who do not agree. But there are more bad people out there than good, i think. I can't say i don't like sex, i love it. lol.. but i wouldn't base a relationship on it. good question. ;)

The reason is purely evolutionary. All individuals have an underlying desire to pass on their genes. For men, the best way to do that is mate with as many women as possible. But women are restricted by gestation and maternity, so they seek a man who will stick around and help her care for her offspring. Of course, thousands of years of social development have made the male's reproductive strategy immoral, but he still cannot shake the desire to mate as often as possible. Women still seek quality over quantity, though.

If you assume this is true, it would, but I have never found this to be the case. If there are differences in this matter, it would seem to be because that is what each group has been told is important. When little girls are brought up by their mothers to dream of their wedding days and little boys are taught by their fathers that only "hot" women are worthwhile, what would you expect? With men and women brought up differently, you don't see this so much.

Personally, me and my other enjoy causal sex but when we done the relationship part always comes back. When a guy meets a girl for the first time, he's going to think about sexing her but dating her, and likewise for women. But the guy can't help but to either enjoy the woman company or just enjoy the sex. Now when they just enjoy the sex, then they are dogs, but when he wants a relationship before sex, then he truly wants a relationship and he is a man.
