If your question is are you breaking the lease, then the answer would be no if you have it in writing that you can have the dogs. If it was a verbal agreement then you have a problem. She is a real witch if she let you have them and now is saying you can't. Make her take it to court, it will take time for her to evict you and who knows, maybe the Judge will believe you and throw her case out.NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FRIENDS!!!

Technically you have a verbal contract stating you could have dogs. Which is just as legal as a written contract (lease)However to prove that is impossible since it's your word against theirs and you'd have to go to court. Not worth it.

You should have added it to the lease. Sorry....no matter the reason they can tell you to get rid of the dogs or make you move and keep your security deposit. Not necessarily the right thing to do but legally they can do it.

You have to prove that the Landlord knew you had dogs on the premises and continued to accept the rent. If the Landlord admits that she/he has been verbally telling you to get the dog off the property, but collecting the rent, you win.

Do you have it in WRITING that small dogs are allowed? Most legitimate leases have a clause about pets and it's usually very specific.
