10% is 1.299 so multiply that by 2 and you have 2.598. Rounded to £2.60.
To work out 10% of something, all you need to do is shift the decimal one place to the left. If the figure doesn't have a decimal place. Just add a ".0" on the end.
E.g. 10% of 100.0 = 10.
To work out 1% of something, 2 places along etc.
