what do you think of those, where the guy goes from being a pig to a human, and the message is "be a man"?
this belongs in the politics section because it deals with "political correctness".
how do you think an ad where a dog turns into a woman and the message is "be a woman" would go over? just curious. would women find this offensive?
i happen to think that its a couples responsibility to use protection, not just the man or the woman's (or the pig and the dog's; however you want to look at it).

i ask you to apply that reasoning to my scenario then. a commercial criticizing the hehavior of women when being biotchy, and manifesting that in the form of a dog. that would not be offensive to you? i certainly hope not, because then you would be a double standard hypocrite if it did.

the commercial doesn't offend me. i was just thinking about how if the scenario was a bit different it would offend some. thats why they made the commercial, because they know 100% of guys wouldn't care; however, i guarantee if they had used a black guy, or a woman/dog combo there would have been some kind of hissy. i am just making an observation.

If the shoe was on the other foot the ad never would have hit the airwaves.
Of the women I've dated only one carried a condom... Five said they were on the pill and weren't... Twelve said they didn't want me to use a condom... And the other 57 wanted me to use a condom. Yes, my stats... Pathetic or not - many people are pathetic when it comes to failing to take responsibility before bumping uglies.

I agree ,it is both, but have you seen on YA that the woman is the blame? I had to remind all of them that the girl can not get pregnant with out a guys help. The question was about welfare and they all talked about having a women spayed like a cat. Do men forget they are responsible as well?
I realize you do,but a lot of men do not.

First of all, you are totally off base with where this question must be placed. Haven't you heard of the term "Men are Pigs?" Probably not. Lighten up or grow a thicker skin.
If you understood the commercial you would realize that the setting is a singles bar, where lets be honest here, people meet to hook up. If you are a guy, take some responsibility and have a condom. Last I checked, Trojan does not sell female condoms.

I think the commercial would better hit home if it were two pigs in a barnyard having sex, and both turn into humans.
Slogan should be: Be responsible humans, not mindless animals.

You are correct...I think it is both sides responsibility to use protection also. I do not like that commercial at all. I rolled my eyes the first time I saw it.

I've seen them, far too many times. I think they are stupid commercials. They portray men as pigs and women as easy bar pickups who are going to have sex with you after just meeting you that night!

Well the pig is a reference to animal farm, and the dog is a common reference to the *****.

The commercial isn't calling men pigs it is reffering to their behavior, to the person they become while on the relentless pursue of sex, pigs.
