it might sound weird I understand but I ask myself this alot. Maybe some of you haven't noticed that mirrors tend to be different but I have. What do we truly look like?

A mirror that is flat.

If a mirror, is slightly concave, it will make you look bigger, if it is slightly convex, you look thinner.

Well, according to you thesis that mirrors makes us appear either thinner or bigger, then obviously there is no real reflection of ourselves from mirrors. The problem with this thesis is that the entire thesis presupposes that we already know what we truly look like. Think about it. How can we say we "appear thinner" or "appear bigger" with out some set understanding of what we truly look like? More precisely, I have to know what I truly look like to say that "I'm appearing bigger in this reflection of this mirror"; or, "I'm appearing thinner in this reflection of this mirror." Without this understanding of myself there is no appearance of "thinner than" or "bigger than".

The one which makes you feel good.
If you want to be sure, take a picture of yourself, match it agaisnt the image on the mirror. The closest resemblance?- accurate mirror.

Both of them ARE real. It is the image that may be distorted.
