NO, I do not, but I AM going to start. My husband has just been diagnosed with HEP C because he had to have several pints of blood after a horrific accident way back in the 1980s - back then, they did NOT screen the blood like they do now. This is a devastating thing to happen to our entire family.
PLEASE, if you DO donate blood, PLEASE be SURE there is NO WAY you can pass on something like this. And Thank all of you who are clean and who DO donate. It is a truly wonderful thing to do.

I have had what they call high cholesterol for 30 years. Genetics. My father is 91..mother 84. Grandmother was 105..all grandparents lived over 85 years. All my fathers brothers lived past 85. All have had what they call high cholesterol. Is it a killer? Who really knows? I have been on cholesterol meds for 15 years. Doesn't really move it much. Please note I just got my blood work back and it is the best in 30 years. Always above 250 -300. Now is 211. I have done nothing different except I added CINNAMON to my diet. About 1 teaspoon a day. I use it in my coffee. The Dr asked what am I doing different because all my blood work came back substantially improved. That was all I could think of doing different. Diet never changed, exercise didn't change. Not a thing other than CINNAMON.

I donate blood a couple of times a year.
I would donate more often but my boss makes us go in our own time even though HR policy says we can go in company time. That's why I am the only person in my workplace who donates. Let's hope she never needs blood herself...

Never have done but I know I should as I might have a super rare blood group. I should do anyway.
Maybe that can be a new years resolution!
