Yes, it's quite legal. Your pay is a matter between you and your boss. There is no legal compunction to pay you the same as anyone else.

It depends where you are in the world, really.
Have you all worked the same amount of time? Do you possibly not work as hard as them?
It's legal, but it's not a nice thing to do. If you were all hired at the same time, and have done the same amount of work, work as much/as hard, they should really be paying you all the same amount.
Also, if they have more experience, or have a certificate/diploma/whatever else in the field that you're working in, they would get paid more.

It's perfectly legal. You could try asking your boss about it, but you'll probably just find out that the pay difference is due to seniority or that the other's actually have some additional responsibilities that you just don't realize.

By the way, how do you know how much they're all paid!?!

I may be wrong but I thought that the equal pay regulations dealt with pay equality between male and females rather than within groups of males.

You need to be sure that they all do the same job. In certain professions [particularly in IT] market pay can move quickly so that effectively you can get people who join after you coming in on a higher tariff because the market pay for those skills has shifted.

I suggest that you join a trade union and get them to look into it.

Seniority makes a difference. Availability of workers when hired can affect a starting wage; as can the entry level salary demand of an employee.

it should,nt be legal.if a women can do the same thing as a man then she deserves the same pay.but it appears that a lot of women can;t do the same thing as men.they may work in the same field but are given the easier job to do.in that case they should'nt be given the same pay. if i have to lift 50 lbs all day long and the women can;t do it and is given the easier job.then why pay her the same.there are some jobs that women can do better then men.in that case they should be paid better then men.i know this all sounds bad.but that;s the way it is.

Yes. You have to take into account experience.

You're not going to make the same amount of money as someone who has more years on the job than you do, regardless of whether or not you do the same job as he does.

Even if you were both hired on the same day, he may make more than you if he has better skills.

Yes its legal. It might not be fair, but also people are paid differently based on lots of factors.

If you can demonstrate you are being paid less due to sex, age or race (UK) then you have a case. There may be several reasons for this. Employers may have a loyalty pay increment for staff that have been there several years.
