This morning, I pulled a muscle in my neck. I'm in a good deal of pain right now. My head is now ****** to one side and I can only look to the right.

What are some ways to relieve a pulled muscle in the neck? I just took about 4 advil and can't find any hot compresses. What can I do?

And also, is this a sign that I'm getting old? I pulled the muscle while getting out of the shower!!

It sucks to be getting old doll! Your SOL until it works itself out. Take a cloth and put some warm water on it, then alternate it with cold. How the hell do you pull your neck in the shower.....never mind, I'll leave that to my imagination!

Oh my God , I was like this a month ago.

Listten !
It takes a week for you to become compeletly healthy.
Here my advice to you, try to do all of them.
Best thing to do it to put something hot on your neck.Don't try to move your neck to see if you can move it or not.You should try to lay on the bed most of your time and all the time try to put something hot on your neck.
Council a doctor he/she will give you a cream to put on your neck.
Here a cream that I can introduce to you : Is Sloan's Balm
It is pain killer and it keeps your neck warm.

Your muscle is so firm and be careful to not use your neck.
After 4 or 5 days when you feel become better try to massage your neck very sotfly with your two fingers .

Listen, I really hope you didn't pull that neck muscle getting a promotion at work.

Alternate hot and cold and have someone keep pressure on the pulled muscle for 15-20 seconds at a time.

Why not try Reike:

But don't pay for it, just get some one to put one hand on your neck, and one hand on your forehead. You may have to try a few different people because some have no vibes. One of opposite sex works better, I think.

My Dad was a regular doctor and he used this way back when. Had good results many times.

People who are really great at this are said to have hot hands.

Take a washcloth and get it wet, and put it in the microwave for 1 minute. If its not burning hot, you will then put it on your neck where it is sore. The moist heat should help, but it must be as hot as you can take it, and keep repeating this as long as you can or until you feel better.

Soak a towel in hot water to make a compress. That usually helps me... geez I guess I'm getting old too. Hope you get to feeling better! =)
