Show him the snooze button on the alarm clock. Tell him how it works, that way the alarm will keep waking him (and probably you) up as he falls back asleep. You could just put a pillow over your head so you can't really hear anything and go back to sleep.

Let me tell you if it was reversed you would see how it feels to be the one getting up and seeing someone else lying there.

What would you want him to do if you had to get up at 5am and he was still in bed - you would want him to keep you awake so do it . Your a good wife. Nice that he wants to stay in bed with you.

Then get another alarm and put it on his side of the bed so that it will be his own responsibility to get up. I don't understand why women get so pissed at doing things like this when all they have to do is tell their husband that they aren't going to do it anymore. It is so trivial and yet it bothers you so much and you sit there and allow it to continue.

You need to talk to him and tell him it is not fair to you to be his second alarm clock. Tell him that if he doesn't get up when the alarm goes off, you will put some ice in his underwear. That will get him up!

Seriously, this is not fair to you. You should have a talk with him. Or start sleeping in another room.

Go back to sleep. He's a big boy now and you are not his mom.If he oversleeps it's his own fault not yours. And if he tries to lay it at your feet tell him he has to take responsibility for his actions just like you take responsibility for yours. He knew he had to get up but he chose to go back to sleep so it's no ones fault but his own and he can pay the consequences for being late.

discuss this matter with him, and find an appropriate solution for both of you. Calling him names- which he deserves by the way- won't solve the problem. Communicate about this issue, you'll get your way. Good luck "good wife". Your husband's a lucky man, does he ONLY know it ?

That's why we have TWO alarm clocks.

We will always check for the other's oversleeping FOR WORK.
Oversleep for a hobby and you are on your own.
