Get a friend to help you, have him turn the key to start and hold it there. Lay under the car and tap the starter with a hammer, if it cranks that's your problem.

It is probably your solenoid, But I would try a few things first.

1..Remove Clean and Reassemble the battery cables first.
2..Do the same with the cables to the starter motor.

These steps don't cost anything and can cause the voltage to drop to the point that even a good starter Solenoid would not function.

corrosion on the battery terminals ,defective key switch,or lazy starter[need a new one].clean battery term with baking soda and a toothbrush or a cheap wire brush. key switch u can't check without a meter,the starter if u take it out to get it checked ,pep boys auto zone or any ither big auto supplier will check it for u

yep, the starter solenoid is bad, depending on the year and type of car, you will either have to replace the starter as a whole, or just the starter solenoid, cause some starter solenoids are located on a fender well or firewall and not on the starter...a parts house can tell you....

90% chance its the battery. Only other option is the starter solenoid. Have autozone or similiar test the battery. It should be a simple fix

check your battery cable connections, you might take them off and clean them with baking soda and a lil water, re-connect and try again. if that doesnt work have your battery checked. if those are ok you need to have the starter checked. good luck.

Probably starter motor has gone ! put car in to gear and rock back and forth, this normaly frees it, and shud be ok to start normally, bit of a pain in the winter, probably best just to replace

bad connection on the battery terminals,a bad earth point,bad connection on the starter motor,or the starter motor solenoid,or a seized or worn brush.

its probably your starter solenoid ,also check your battery cables to make sure their not loose or need to be cleaned

Sounds to me like you have a bad starter. I would check that first.
